journey of a lifetime..

When we purchased our home in 2016, we had no idea what adventures were yet to come. On the far edge of the property sat an empty WWII train car, and adjacent to the main house- an aircraft hangar subdivided into a garage + 2-bedroom apartment. We found ourselves overwhelmed with excitement upon moving to this property since it was such a hidden gem.
Close to a year after moving in, Adrienne had been pondering finally chasing her longtime dream of owning and operating a B&B. Her vision for the train car became clearer and clearer and soon enough she had envisioned an entire floor plan and was prepared to take the leap and begin construction.
Her and husband Dean began the 8 month long process of building out the perfect space with an incredible team of local contractors. We re-electrified a nearby dead power pole (which created our 1346 address for Platform”1346”), pulled in plumbing, and completely insulated the car. Meanwhile, Adrienne and her daughter Tayler (that’s me, hello!) worked closely throughout the design process to maintain the original character of the train car while infusing it with plush contemporary elements.
Not long after launching Platform1346 on Airbnb, we knew that this would be a family business we would cherish running together. Our guestbook and online reviews were flooded with warm thanks and praises from our incredible guests. We then knew we wanted to be able to offer more experiences.
Over the past few years, we have been able to slowly expand to our “Planes, Trains, and Automobiles” with Terminal1344 launching in 2019 and Dolly’s Fantasy Camper soon after. After two great years hosting guests in our Dolly Fantasy Camper we parted ways with this airbnb in early 2023 to make room for our greenhouse as our cut flower farm expanded. We are so grateful to all of our incredible guests who travel from all over the world to relax and unwind at our properties.
We thank you all who have stayed with us from the bottom of our hearts- you have made our dream a reality.
And to those who have not yet stayed with us, we hope to see you soon!
